We assume you have already created a user.
- Click on the user name “user1” as below:
- Click on the “Edit” menu as below:
- Select the appropriate System roles for the user.
- Select the appropriate Functional roles for the user.
- For full access to the platform, do select:
- Production API user
- Data Analyst
- All Annotation components
- Don’t forget to save!
When assigning roles to users a few key principles must be kept in mind that we try to outline here:
- Roles need to be assigned to users. Roles are not assigned to projects or user groups.
- Users can be members of one and only one group – therefore it is not foreseen to be, say, a power users on project A but a default user on project B.
- However, there is a workaround: A project can be shared with a power user in “read-only” mode. Then this users, although they normally have more advanced permissions, will only be able read in this project A that has been shared with them.
